Coach Bar was renamed Coach in 2010 in recognition of its origins as the stables for the horses used to carry mail by the General Post Office.
Coach Bar (formerly known as Senate and Tank Bar) is located amidst deep vaulted sandstone niches of the heritage GPO building at No. 1 Martin Place, offering a fusion of striking sandstone alcoves complimented with contemporary stylish decor. Low ottomans create intimate seating offering a warm and rich environment for the inner city bar crowd.

With beer on tap and by the bottle, selected wines and cocktails, Coach Bar provides the perfect setting for after work drinks. Coach Bar also offers a choice of authentic Indian curry for lunch (Butter Chicken or Lamb Madras) served with rice and pappadums.

If Indian curry is not your preferred option, Coach Bar also offers a variety of fresh, seasonal salads prepared daily for dine in and takeaway, along with six adjacent food options to choose from, so you and your guests can dine together at once.

Coach Bar is ideal for your next cocktail party, social club gathering or networking function. Catering for groups of 20 to 400, our experienced and helpful functions team can help arrange all your event needs.

PIMP 'Male Esque' Cabaret Show

Coach Bar also hosts PIMP 'Male Esque' Cabaret Shows on Saturday Nights.
