Since its creation in 1999 the GPO Cheese & Wine Room was Australia’s first dedicated Cheese and Wine Room and has become recognised as Sydney’s temple of Cheese. More recently the GPO Cheese and Wine Room was awarded as the best Specialty Restaurant in Australia for 2013 and 2011 and continues to be awarded as the best Wine Bar in 2017 and 2016. The room offers a fusion of striking sandstone walls and contemporary elegance.

Situated in the depths of the Historic GPO at No.1 Martin Place, the GPO Cheese & Wine Room and Crystal Bar are the unique and secluded venues for your next Cheese and Wine Event.

Mingle with your guests with drinks on arrival with a presentation from our expert Fromager and Sommelier, followed by a selection of premier canapés to complement your artisan and farmhouse cheese and the wine tasting. You will be sure to impress your guests with a function at the Cheese & Wine Room!
