What Makes Postales Spanish Restaurant Special

Postales Spanish Restaurante and Tapas Bar has been awarded and recognised as Sydney’s best Spanish restaurant in 2009, 2010 and 2015, with reviewers describing the cuisine as “the best Spanish food outside of Spain.”

In 2015, Postales was also awarded and recognised as the Best Tapas and Spanish Restaurant in Australia, offering:

  • The best paella in the Sydney CBD, made with our secret flavoursome saffron and paella stock for something truly authentic

  • The most extensive Spanish tapas selection in Sydney, with 23 varieties of authentic meat, vegetable and seafood tapas to share

  • A selection of Spanish desserts made fresh daily, such as our signature housemade churros (Spanish doughnuts) served with rich melted chocolate and caramel dipping sauces

  • An award-winning Spanish-focused wine list with over 100 premium wines and 28 wines by the glass, along with a variety of Sangria and Spanish beers to complement the dining experience

About Postales Tapas Restaurant – the best Spanish Restaurant in Sydney

Postales Spanish Restaurant and Tapas Bar, known as Sydney’s best Spanish restaurant, is an underground fine dining Spanish restaurant located in the heritage GPO building at No.1 Martin Place, serving the best Spanish food and wine in the Sydney CBD.

Postales Spanish Restaurant was originally Post Seafood Brasserie, with a focus on modern cuisine and quality seafood, winning many awards for excellence including one hat in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005.

In April 2009, Post was transformed into Postales and quickly became known as the best Spanish restaurant in Sydney, voted Sydney’s Best Spanish Restaurant and Tapas Bar in the Restaurant and Catering Association Awards for Excellence in 2010, 2011 and 2015.

Located in a contemporary part of the heritage GPO complex, Postales Restaurante offers a wide selection of traditional tapas, paella, churros, sangria and Spanish wine and beer for the ultimate Spanish feast.

Whether it’s for lunch, dinner or an exclusive event for up to 140 guests, the relaxed, dimly lit space with chocolate-coloured booths, oversized wine glasses and a beautiful Spanish mural provides the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.

A la Carte Menu

Postales Spanish Restaurante spoils guests for choice when it comes to Spanish favourites, with its extensive selection of meat, vegetable and seafood tapas, along with signature paellas made with saffron and paella stock, as opposed to commonly used chicken stock which results in an unnatural bright yellow colour.

Postales Restaurante also offers a variety of Spanish-influenced main courses made with the freshest ingredients available, including Roasted Pork Belly, Pan Roasted Crispy Snapper Fillet and Linguine Pasta with Prawns, Snapper and Clams. Guests can also enjoy a glass of wine with their choice of two Raciones or one main course from just $32 per person.

For dessert, try our Baked Citrus and Cinnamon Custard with Cinnamon Ice Cream or our Fromagiers’ Selection of Three Spanish Cheeses with Fruit Loaf and Lavosh to finish off your Spanish experience.

Theatre Menu

For those attending a theatre show at Angel Place, Theatre Royal or The State Theatre nearby in the Sydney CBD, why not enjoy our special fixed price menu including an amuse bouche, main course and a glass of wine or beer for just $29 per person.
